Understanding Menopause
Every woman will reach menopause. But every woman will have their unique menopause journey. 70% of women will have symptoms for 5 to 7 years and perimenopause can mimic shifting hormones. For many women menopause (marked by 12 months without menses) occurs in the early 50s.
However, some women will have a non-traditional menopause journey with surgical menopause (removal of ovaries), early menopause (before age 45), or menopause induced by medication or cancer therapy.
Over the years I’ve heard from countless women about common symptoms such as night sweats and sleeplessness and less recognized symptoms of palpitations and mouth burning.
There is a treatment or solution for every menopausal symptom (even midsection weight gain!) Education around midlife women’s health starts with understanding your menopause.
I listen carefully and counsel individually. My goal is to share my expertise to help every woman not just survive (or suffer) but thrive during menopause and beyond.
